My name is Adam Lavoie and sharing my lifelong passion for music is my greatest joy.  I have many years of experience teaching piano, guitar, voice and ukulele to students of all ages and abilities.

 

My goal as a teacher is to cater to each student’s specific goals and needs, as everyone has different abilities and different motivations for studying music.  Learning music is hard work, but I want to make it as fun as possible. As soon as my students are able, I encourage them to play songs they love.  I can also teach music theory, as well as lead sheets and chord charts.

 

I studied classical piano for 18 years, guitar for 9 years, voice for 14 years, and I focused on music theory and song writing at Berklee School of Music.
