About one 27 photography

My name is Lou Genovese. I started taking photographs sometime around age 12, when I took my first photography class in school. We shot mostly black and white film, and learned to develop it ourselves.

Ever since then, I’ve been fascinated with an image’s ability to save a single moment in time. Things got really interesting when I realized that it wasn’t just a moment in time, it was my moment in time. A moment from my own unique perspective. I could actually share what I saw, in the way I saw it, and just maybe, convey the feeling behind the moment.

Now I shoot places, and faces, with the end goal being to tell the story and convey the feeling of being there, right in that one moment.
